New York City is full nearly 8 million people - a few of whom are my friends - but most of whom are total strangers.  I see you on the street, in windows, in cars, in line, across counters, inside subways, on chairs.  New York is full of charming characters.  Singing waiters at Turkish restaurants. Chefs buying eggplants.  Radio listeners.  Travellers.  I get into random conversations with people all the time.  Now I am going to have a little social experiment: every day, I will talk to a stranger in New York City, where I live, and wherever my travels take me.  I will write about it.
